- 6 oz chilled hibiscus tea double-strength - The star ingredient that provides the stunning color and tangy flavor base
- 1-2 teaspoons sweetener of choice - Controls the sweetness level
- 2 oz fresh orange juice - Adds bright citrus notes and natural sweetness
- ½ teaspoon rosewater - Provides delicate floral notes
- Sparkling water or non-alcoholic rosé - Adds effervescence and lightness
First, prepare your hibiscus tea by brewing it double-strength (use twice the amount of tea recommended on the package). While the tea is still warm, stir in your preferred sweetener until dissolved, then refrigerate until completely chilled (at least 2 hours or overnight).
For the optional rose petal rim, brush a thin layer of honey around the edge of your glass and gently press edible rose petals onto the sticky surface. This gives your mocktail that extra special touch.
When you're ready to serve, fill your gold-rimmed wine glass with ice cubes. Pour in 3 oz of your chilled hibiscus tea followed by 1 oz of fresh orange juice, then add ¼ teaspoon of rosewater (remember, a little goes a long way with rosewater).
Top your glass with sparkling water or non-alcoholic rosé, pouring slowly down the side of the glass to preserve the bubbles.
Gently stir the mocktail with a long-handled spoon to combine all flavors without losing carbonation, add any additional garnish like an orange slice if desired, and enjoy immediately!
