Moscow Mule Mocktail

Moscow Mule Mocktail

A Moscow Mule Mocktail is the non-alcoholic version of the classic cocktail, which traditionally combines vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice. Our virgin version preserves all the signature flavor elements—the spicy kick of ginger beer, the bright citrus notes of fresh lime, and the aromatic touch of mint—while skipping the alcohol.
The name "mule" comes from the drink's signature "kick" from the spicy ginger. Served in iconic copper mugs, these mocktails aren't just delicious but visually stunning as well.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium lime quartered (plus extra slices for garnish)
  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves plus extra sprigs for garnish
  • 1 cup 8 oz premium ginger beer (diet or regular)
  • 1 oz alcohol-free vodka optional
  • Ice cubes or crushed ice
  • Sweetener of choice honey, simple syrup, or stevia - optional

Instructions

  • Place quartered lime and sweetener (if using) in your copper mug or glass and gently muddle until the lime releases its juice. Don't press too hard or you'll make it bitter.
  • Clap mint leaves between your palms a few times to release their aroma, add to your mug, and press very gently just once or twice with your muddler.
  • If using alcohol-free vodka, pour it in now.
  • Fill your mug about three-quarters full with ice (crushed ice works best), then slowly pour in the ginger beer.
  • Give everything a gentle stir to combine all flavors without losing the fizz, garnish with a fresh mint sprig and lime wheel, and serve immediately while ice-cold.
